New Washington State voting rights act may be answer to the Mill Creek City Council’s lack of diversity

The recently enacted Washington Voting Rights Act allows cities and counties to switch to district-based elections – which would fix problems with a jurisdiction’s voting system.

The Mill Creek City Council is an example of a group that has failed to respond to its local demographics.

The Snohomish Health District is investigating a small number of reports of norovirus-like illness in people who dined at the Ivar’s Mukilteo Landing restaurant on Saturday, April 14th. The restaurant voluntarily closed to perform cleaning and sanitation protocols.

The restaurant voluntarily closed on Wednesday, April 18th, to perform cleaning and sanitation protocols.
