2021 Mill Creek Festival road closures to cause traffic disruptions

The City of Mill Creek and Mill Creek Festival organizers care about the community and want everyone to be aware that roads will be closed making traffic and parking difficult from Friday, August 13th, to Sunday, August 15, 2021.

The City of Mill Creek and Mill Creek Festival organizers care about the community and want everyone to be aware that roads will be closed making traffic and parking difficult from Friday, August 13th, to Sunday, August 15th.

They would like Mill Creek Festival goers to use the free shuttle or Community Transit's buses to get to the event, and they encourage mask wearing and social distancing at the event.

The following road closures will affect traffic within the City of Mill Creek for the 2021 Mill Creek Festival:

From 9:00 am Friday morning, August 13th, until approximately 11:30 pm on Sunday evening, August 15th: 

From 4:30 am Saturday morning, August 14th, until approximately 11:30 pm on Sunday evening, August 15th:

These closures will be in place for the duration of the Mill Creek Festival, concluding Sunday, August 15th, at approximately 11:30 pm.

Motorists should expect delays throughout Mill Creek so please plan accordingly.

Community Transit buses and free shuttles will be available for festival attendees.

The community is encouraged to use Community Transit buses or the free shuttle bus to get to the festival due to the number of people anticipated to be in the area over the weekend.

Masks are required onboard all buses in compliance with the federal Transportation Security Administration (TSA) mandate.

Exit the bus at the 153rd Street SE station along the Bothell Everett Highway (SR 527), and walk one block west into the heart of Mill Creek Town Center to access Main Street.

Shuttle schedule between Jackson High School and the Festival site:

  • Saturday from 7:00 am to 9:30 pm.
  • Sunday from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm.

“No festival parking, free shuttle at Jackson High School” signs will be placed at the entries into Zen Garden’s, QFC’s, and Safeway's parking lots.

Signs at each major intersection will direct festival parking to Jackson High School.

There will be two shuttles running a non-stop loop between the Festival and Jackson High School.

The shuttle pick-up will be at the Jackson High tennis courts and will proceed through Heatherwood Middle school.

The drop-off will be in the Post Office turn-around.

Signs will mark the pick-up and drop-off areas.

There will be Festival Programs located at the shuttle sites and volunteers will be placed at the shuttle sites to welcome people to the festival and to answer questions.
