Next Monday, March 18, 2019, will be China City’s 20 Year Anniversary. The occasion will be celebrated with random discount giveaways at all of the restaurant’s locations, including the one within the Mill Creek Town Center.

Every customer that comes to dine at any of our restaurants on March 18th will receive a fortune cookie containing a random discount giveaway. The discounts will vary in value.

There will be eight “Golden Tickets” randomly given out throughout the day. These “Golden Tickets” will have larger discounts or an invite to a private event with the owner. An example of a larger discount is free lunch for the entire year, until March 18, 2020.

“We really just want to have an opportunity to thank our customers that have all supported us through all these years,” said Jack Ng, 41, the owner of China City.

He went on to say, “We have been warmly welcomed into the Mill Creek community since we opened our newest location here in 2014 and want to show the community we appreciate that more than we can say.”

China City is hosting a party in celebration of the event at their original location in Oak Harbor, WA. The party will take place at the China City Oak Harbor restaurant from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The public are welcome to celebrate with us.

Jack was born in a small village outside of Canton, China. He has fond memories of riding water buffaloes as a child. He, along with his family, immigrated to Anacortes in 1989.

They worked hard as a family to learn the American way and eventually started their own family business, China City.  Jack and his family have successfully owned and operated the restaurants since 1999.

They opened their first location in Oak Harbor in 1999. The second was opened in Freeland on the south end of Whidbey Island in 2001. Then, finally, the Mill Creek location was opened in 2014.
