From a January 8, 2021, Everett Public Schools news release.
Everett Public Schools will host several important “Let’s Connect” community engagement events in January.
Let’s Connect events are held virtually and provide an opportunity for district leadership to share important information and receive feedback and input from our school communities on a variety of topics.
Please join us as we discuss the district’s budget outlook and continue the process of refreshing our strategic plan.
January Let’s Connect events include:
- Budget Outlook – Thursday, January 21st, at 5:00 pm.
- Strategic Plan Refresh – Monday, January 25th, at 5:00 pm.
- Strategic Plan Refresh – Thursday, January 28th, at 5:00 pm.
Learn how the COVID-19 pandemic and full remote student learning has significantly altered how school districts are funded across the state and the local implications for Everett Public Schools.
Districts are making significant efforts to offset major COVID cost increases with numerous initiatives to save money but continue to rely heavily upon the 2021 State Legislature to make emergency fixes to the state funding formulas to avoid major cuts for the next school year.
Share your perspectives on how public education might look different as we emerge somehow better than we were before.
Our two Strategic Plan Refresh events provide an opportunity for our community to help us define long-term strategic goals and priorities assist us in building common goals and outcomes for students. The content at both Strategic Plan Refresh events is identical, so attendees should register for just one of the dates.
Attendees must pre-register at the link(s) below:

We look forward to hosting our school families, district staff and our valued community members and partners as we continue inspiring, educating and preparing our students to achieve to high standards, contribute to our community and thrive in a global society.
