A free class titled "Business Pros: Financing Your Business: Where’s the Money?" will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Arena Sports, located at 13500 Bothell-Everett Highway in Mill Creek.
Giselle Saguid of the Small Business Development Center will discuss how businesses and entrepreneurs can obtain appropriate financing.
It is one of a series of programs for small businesses presented by the Mill Creek Library, in partnership with the Mill Creek Business Association.
To be successful in obtaining a business loan, you must be informed, prepared, and organized, according to Saguid. This workshop will cover the loan program eligibility requirements and credit criteria to accommodate a wide range of financing needs.
Saguid started her career in the microfinance industry in the Philippines implementing the Grameen methodology. After moving to Washington State, she joined Community Capital Development, directing their Northwest Washington Women’s Business Center (NWWBC) for 7 years. During that time, Giselle taught entrepreneurial classes as part of the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island and Naval Air Station in Everett, earning recognition from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Seattle District Office as the Veteran Small Business Champion for 2013.
Food and drink will be served at the class. To register for this free program, please go to https://sno-isle.libnet.info/event/753687 and click “Register;” or call the Mill Creek Library at 425-337-4822.
