Firefighters battle early morning Mill Creek house fire

Fire District 7 firefighters quickly extinguished a house fire in a Parkside neighborhood on Sunday morning, June 30, 2019. Medics treated two adult occupants of the house for mild smoke inhalation, but there were no reports of other injuries.

Emergency dispatchers received a report of smoke coming from a Parkside neighborhood house located at the 15500 block of 27th Drive SE on Sunday morning, June 30, 2019, at about 6:00 am.

Firefighters arrived to find a dryer on fire located inside the laundry room.

Engine 76 arrived and extended a hose line into the structure and was able to quickly extinguish and contain the fire to the laundry room.  Ladder 72 and units from South County Fire & Rescue assisted with ventilation and property conservation.

Two adult occupants were evaluated and treated at the scene by Medic 76 for mild smoke inhalation.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire and the amount of damage caused.
