Forever home dog of the week - Anakin

Anakin is a 16 lb male Pomeranian/Alaskan Eskimo mix dog who is approximately 7 years old. Despite his age, he has the energy of a 2 year old dog. Anakin is a beautiful boy who is cuddly, sweet and gets along with other dogs and children. He is crate trained and loves being with his human.

With input from our friends at FurKidz 911, each week we will be featuring a dog that needs a loving home.

A perfect environment for him would be a family, couple, or single person who won't leave him alone for long periods of time (6-10 hours is too long). Even though he has a beautiful fur coat, he is not an outdoor dog, especially now in this type of weather.

Anakin would make a perfect companion to an older couple who will take him on regular walks. We are working on his "marking issues" since he was neutered later in life (no fault of his own). He is using a belly band for now. Please give this little boy a chance. He was left behind when his owner moved out of the country. It would be wonderful if he could find a forever home for the holidays.

Anakin is neutered and rabies vaccinated. He will receive his DAPP and microchip before he is adopted out. Anakin is available for a Meet & Greet after an approved and verified adoption application. This is the first step in our adoption process. This helps us to determine the right match for our rescue dogs and your lifestyle and home environment. Our Meet & Greet/Adoption Application is available at:

FurKidz 911 is a non-profit 501(c)3 animal rescue organization based in the greater Seattle area in Washington. We do not have a shelter facility. Our organization is foster-based and we have a team of fosters throughout Western Washington.

FurKidz 911 is dedicated to the rehabilitation of dogs so they may find their forever home. We have met the most wonderful animals coming through our organization - all they needed was a second chance.

We are an all-volunteer group with regular full-time jobs. Our rescue work is done on our own time, mainly in the evenings. Email is the best form of communication and we ask for your patience due to our regular work priorities. Our email is info@furkidz911.org. Thank you.
