Gateway Middle School’s robotics team wins robot design trophy at state championship

The Gateway Middle School Lego Guardians robotics team was awarded a trophy for best mechanical robot design at the Washington State FLL Championships in Ellensburg, on Saturday, February 22, 2014.

The Gateway Middle School Lego Guardians robotics team was awarded a trophy for best mechanical robot design at the Washington State FLL Championships in Ellensburg, on Saturday, February 22, 2014.

“A big deal considering only the top 10% of 590 teams from Canada and Washington get to compete in the state championships,” explained coach Brick Baldwin.  “The team competed in Ellensburg at Central Washington University and was awarded a trophy for Best Mechanical Design.”

“Through the past four years the Lego Guardians have achieved several awards and acknowledgements,” added Baldwin. “Please join me in acknowledging the members of Gateways Lego Guardians on a job well done, they earned it!”
