Six Jackson High School student athletes signed National Letters of Intent to accept athletic scholarships to four-year universities in time for a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) November 14, 2012 deadline.

Congratulations go out to the following Jackson students:

  • Kyle Cornett - Kyle won the boys’ state golf championship last spring. He will attend Seattle University to play golf.
  • Miah Diirell - Miah is a member of Jackson’s third in state volleyball team. She will attend Seattle University to play volleyball.
  • Haley MacDonald - Haley is a member of Jackson’s third in state volleyball team. She will attend Washington State University to play volleyball.
  • Emmy Allen - Emmy is a member of Jackson’s third in state volleyball team. She will attend Washington State University to play volleyball.
  • Kaela McKee - Kaela is a member of the girls’ swim team and also competes with the StingRay swim team. She will attend the University of New Mexico to swim.
  • Kaitlin Taylor - Kaitlin is a member of the girls’ swim team and also competes with the StingRay swim team. She will attend San Jose State University to swim.

All six of these student athletes have worked extremely hard in their sports. The Jackson High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is proud of their accomplishments, and the Jackson community wishes these student athletes success in their college careers.
