Tambark Creek is a 40-acre park located southeast of Mill Creek on 35th Ave SE just north of 180th Street SE. With an athletic field, picnic shelters, walking trails, a playground and an off-leash dog area this park can be enjoyed by the whole family.

The off-leash dog area is fully enclosed with a fence allowing dogs to run and exercise off-leash. There is an open space, ideal for energetic pups, and a shady area with some trees. It's a clean and beautiful space for dogs and their owners to enjoy.

Regulations for using the dog area are as follows:

Off-Leash Dog Area

This area is dedicated to canine use and dogs may run off-leash, under voice control of their owners. If you are uncomfortable in the presence of unleashed dogs, you may wish to use another area of the park.

Dog Walkers: In order to maintain this off-leash area, please observe the following:

  • Respect other park visitors by keeping your dog from jumping on them or interfering with other people and their dogs. Off-leash does not mean out of control.

  • You are required by law to pick up your dog's feces and to properly dispose of it in the trash cans.

  • Remember to put your dog on a leash in all other areas of this park. By law, dogs must be on leash in this park, except for designated off-leash dog areas.

  • Dogs that exhibit dangerous or aggressive behavior shall be leashed immediately and removed from the park. These dogs may be asked not to return.

  • Please do not bring your dog if it sick or in heat.

This area is available for use at your own risk.

There are two entrances to the park with plenty of parking spaces. The park’s west entrance is off 35th Avenue SE and the east entrance is off Sunset Road & 176th Street SE.

The Tambark Park property was originally purchased in 1996 by Snohomish County and the City of Mill Creek. Neighbors have used the trails to walk their dogs and numerous volunteers have helped create most of the trails that are included in the development of the park.

The park’s amenities include:

  • One synthetic turf, fully lit athletic field with baseball/softball overlays on soccer/lacrosse field lines.

  • One off- leash dog area.

  • One stand-alone picnic shelter, and two picnic shelters attached to restroom buildings.

  • One playground.

  • One unpaved walking trail.

  • Two permanent restroom buildings.

  • Two paved parking lots to serve the western and eastern sides of the park. The west parking lot off 35th Avenue SE has approximately 50 parking spaces and the east parking lot off Sunset Road & 176 Street SE has approximately 75 parking spaces.

Snohomish County and Mill Creek officials opened Tambark Creek Parkon Friday afternoon, June 28, 2013.
