This year’s local candidates have tossed their hats into the ring and are getting ready to ask for your vote in the Primary Election on August 1st and then in the General Election on November 7th.

The 2017 candidate-filing week closed at 4:00 pm on Friday, May 19th. Some elected positions only attracted single candidates, who can now breathe sighs of relief since they won’t have to campaign.

Nonpartisan races with two or fewer contestants won't appear on the Primary Election ballot.

The top two vote getters in the Primary Election will advance to the General Election regardless of party.
