Man wounded in shooting at Mill Creek apartment complex

After responding to reports of a possible shooting on Thursday evening, October 7th, Mill Creek Police officers found evidence of a shooting at an apartment, but no victim. A male with a gunshot wound subsequently presented himself at a local hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

On Thursday evening, October 7th, at around 8:45 pm, Mill Creek Police officers responded to several 911 calls reporting a possible shooting that had just occurred at an apartment in the 1100 block of Mill Creek Boulevard. Several 911 callers reported hearing sounds of gun shots and voices talking loudly.

Officers arrived and found shell casings in the breezeway of an apartment building and possible bullet holes in the wall of an apartment.

Officers discovered the apartment door was unlocked, but found no one inside. Police were already familiar with the specific apartment based on prior calls for service there.

While officers were at the apartment, they received reports of a male with a gunshot wound to the lower torso who had presented himself at a local hospital. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

A preliminary investigation indicates that there may be several outstanding suspects, but there is no known active threat to the general public at this time.

There was no other reported damage or injuries at nearby apartments.

Mill Creek Police officers and the Mill Creek Police Investigations Unit are collecting information, witness statements, and evidence at the scene.
