Come out and visit with the Mill Creek Police and Fire District 7 for a night of family fun, games and learning about crime prevention.
Mill Creek's National Night Out will be held at Pine Meadow Park on Tuesday, August 7th, 2018, from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm.
“This is a great family event,” said Mill Creek Police Detective Sergeant Stan White. “There will be displays and fun activities from the police and fire departments. We will be giving away hot dogs and kettle corn. And Officer Nathan Lerma and K9 Bagira will make an appearance, freshly back from detection training.”
This year’s activities also include basketball, a bouncy house, and impaired goggles that simulate being under the influence of alcohol. A perennial favorite, kids also can participate in speed pitch, where they throw a ball at a screen and an officer with a radar gun takes a speed reading. Kids are then given “speeding tickets” that record how fast they pitched. Information will be provided about crime prevention and fire safety.
