Mill Creek’s Community Development Department wants to help local businesses reach potential customers by updating the City’s sign code as earlier reported.

To kick off the effort, the City’s Planning Commission hosted an Open House on July 19th to solicit comments regarding proposed changes from both businesses and residents. According to Mill Creek’s latest newsletter, “In the coming months, staff will review with the Planning Commission the public comments received and prepare potential revisions to the sign regulations for Planning Commission review. The goal is to have a Planning Commission recommendation on any revisions to the sign code available for City Council review by late 2012.”

As part of this process, Mill Creek’s Community Development Department created an online survey designed to let the City know what types of signs people think are appropriate. The City is encouraging businesses, residents, and visitors to complete this simple five-minute survey.
