Mill Creek Senior Center members win art show awards

Showing that “Creativity is Ageless,” two Mill Creek Senior Center members won awards at the 7th Annual Senior Art show hosted by the Kirkland Senior Council.

“Yuni Wong won first place in the Mix Media-collage Division and Louise Arntson, received second place in the Pastel Drawing Division,” reported Mill Creek Senior Center Program Manager Terry Schuler.

“We are very excited for Yuni and Louise.”

Kirkland Senior Council Chair Penny Kahn said first, second, and third place ribbons were awarded according to, “The public comments we received, along with the final voting tally of 142 people, which showed earnest public interest for the show.”

A reception for the Kirkland Senior Council’s 7th Annual Senior Art Show was held on May 28th at the Kirkland Merrill Gardens. The art was on display from May 28th through June 12th.
