Mill Creek Kiwanis Club, Peoples Bank, and the City of Mill Creek will host a community document shredding event on Saturday, October 27th, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Mill Creek City Hall North (15720 Main St., Mill Creek).
The first box of materials to shred is free; additional boxes can be shredded for a suggested donation of $5 each.
“Clearing out all those sensitive documents in a secure way is sometimes hard to do if you are not sure where to go,” said Mill Creek Councilmember John Steckler, who is a member of the Kiwanis Club.
He went on to say, “This is a great opportunity to support a local civic organization while doing a bit of fall clean up.”
Shred-it, a secure paper-shredding company, will provide trucks ensure proper destruction. There will be traffic control.
The Mill Creek Kiwanis Club requests cash or check to be used to pay suggested donation fees.
The event is part of the October 27th Kiwanis One Day event, where all Kiwanis clubs worldwide provide community service projects.
