While the General Membership Meetings of the Mill Creek Women’s Club have been suspended, the Club continues to thrive and contribute to its local philanthropies. In March they were able to donate $1,000 to the local food bank to help alleviate the growing need due to the COVID- 19 pandemic.

While the General Membership Meetings of the Mill Creek Women’s Club have been suspended, the Club continues to thrive and contribute to its local philanthropies.

In March they were able to donate $1,000 to the local food bank to help alleviate the growing need due to the COVID- 19 pandemic. An additional $1,000 donation was approved in April.

Earlier in 2020 and last Fall, the Club donated much-needed items to Dawson Place, Snohomish County Domestic Violence Services and Woodside School. Donated funds are raised at the Club’s annual fundraiser held each November, the majority of the contributed funds coming from its own members.

In May, despite the fact that the General Membership Meeting has been cancelled, the Club will install its new officers for 2020-21. They are:

  • President – Luanne Kunz
  • Vice President – Sue Marchand
  • Secretary – Jackie Liversidge
  • Treasurer –Natalie Nevskaya
  • Membership Chair - Jeannette Bliss

In spite of the obstacles created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mill Creek Women’s Club will continue to actively contribute to the well-being of the community through its philanthropic efforts and, when social norms are reinstated, will continue to host entertaining social events for its members.
