January 15, Update:
Due to weather conditions, the meeting and luncheon has been postponed until Wednesday, January 29.
On Wednesday, January 15, 2020, The Mill Creek Women’s Club will host author Kelli Estes, who will discuss her second and latest novel, “Today We Go Home,” which was released in September 2019.
When the Club hosted her after her successful first novel, “The Girl Who Wrote in Silk,” she made such an impression that she was enthusiastically invited again for this second offering.
Members of the Club will be able to purchase an autographed copy of both of her books after her presentation.
Kelli Estes earned a degree in business before deciding to try her hand at writing. Six manuscripts, two kids, and fifteen years later, her dream of being an author came true in 2015 with the publication of “The Girl Who Wrote in Silk” which is a USA Today Bestseller and winner of the PNWA Nancy Pearl Award and WFWA Star Award (debut).
Her second novel, “Today We Go Home” (Sourcebooks Landmark) was released in September 2019. She’s passionate about stories that help us see how the past shapes who we are today, and how we all have more in common than not.
The Mill Creek Women’s Club has more than 150 members. In addition to its philanthropic efforts, it has a social component with activities for a variety of interests, such as book clubs, craft clubs, Bunco and a Mahjong group, to name a few.
