Another great YWCA Inspire Luncheon was held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at the Xfinity Convention Center in Everett.

The speaker, who held a private session for the twenty attending Mill Creek Women’s Club members before the luncheon began, was author Terry McMillan, who wrote, “How Stella Got Her Groove Back,” “Waiting to Exhale,” and “I Almost Forgot You,” to name a few.

Terry spoke about how she gets inspired to write, and she read excerpts from one of her books.

The luncheon was held to raise funds for the YWCA, helping women and children along the way to make better lives for themselves.  Housing, clothing, food, counseling, and so much more is provided.

Also, it is a way in which to thank all of the businesses, individuals, and organizations like the Mill Creek Women's Club who so generously give to this cause.

Over $249,000 was donated at this luncheon.  It was a huge success!
