It takes a village, and many hands, hearts, and minds to create all the wonderful programs, socials, and philanthropic efforts that the Mill Creek Women's Club brings to our community.

The Club's Board and Committees are busy all summer long getting everything ready for the start of their new year in September 2015.

If you weren't one of the many women who stopped by our booth at the Mill Creek Festival to sign up for our Newcomers' Coffee on September 11, 2015, you still have a chance to do so!

The coffee and brunch, held in a member's home, will give you a chance to meet and visit with board members, new members, and other women who are interested in learning about all the wonderful ways the Women's Club accomplishes its mission of "enhancing our community through friendship and philanthropy."

Club membership is open to all women in the greater Mill Creek area, and dues are $35 per year.  For information, or to sign up for the coffee, contact Newcomers' Chair Sue Ramsey at 425-385-2016 or Co-Chair Linda Myers at 425-948-7990.

Another way to find out more about the Women's Club is to attend a monthly program and luncheon meeting.  The September 16, 2015, meeting features Women's Club members modeling Chico's and White House/Black Market fashions.

Mystery fans, local history buffs, and good fiction lovers will be entertained as Seattle Police Department Captain Neil Low talks about his best-selling crime mystery novels at the October 21st meeting.

The Seattle Women's Chorus ensemble Sensible Shoes will delight and entertain at the December 16th meeting.

Meetings and programs, followed by a delicious lunch, are held the third Wednesday of each month from September through May at the Mill Creek Country Club.

The cost is $28 for members and $30 for non-members.  Reservations are required.  For information or reservations contact Membership Chair Ann at 425-487-2122.

Save the date for our annual "Thanks for Giving" auction on November 18, 2015, at 10:00 am at Mill Creek Country Club.  Last year we raised a record breaking $40,108, and 100% of the auction money raised goes to benefit our special partnership with the Snohomish County YWCA Pathways program that provides counseling for mothers and children in YWCA housing and domestic violence programs.

If you would like to help this important cause with donations of new items, services, vacation properties, gift cards, cash donations, or other creative ideas, please send an email to ThanksforGivingAuction@gmail.com.

To reserve your place at the auction, please contact Membership Chair Ann at 425-487-2122.  Reservations are required and space is limited.

Women's Club members also volunteer their time at YWCA's Working Wardrobe to assist homeless and low-income women in need of clothing for job interviews and new jobs.

During the first five months of 2015, twenty Women's Club volunteers assisted 400 women from 18 different cities in finding over 4,000 items of work-appropriate clothing.

Donations of "like new" clothing, accessories, and personal care items are always welcome.  Contact Philanthropy Chair Nancy Knox at 702-306-2922 for donating and more information.

So many wonderful things are happening at Mill Creek Women's Club.  We hope to see you there!
