The Mill Creek Women's Club has been taking a break for the summer but will be able to come together again in the fall at our first meeting after the summer break on September 15, 2021, at 10:30 am.

We will resume luncheon meetings at the Hilton Garden Inn at 22600 Bothell-Everett Highway in Bothell. It will be so wonderful to see each other again in person!

As of publication, the announcements from the Governor allow meetings indoors for vaccinated persons. We will be flexible and follow the Governor’s directives.

In view of this, we are requiring all those who wish to attend our luncheons or other indoor social events to be fully vaccinated.

We have been planning eventful programs and speakers for your enjoyment.  We are resuming in person socials, Bunco, Book Clubs, Craft Groups, Card Game Groups, and other specialty groups. COVID-19 protocols will be followed per the Governor’s orders.

The MCWC continues to actively contribute to the well-being of the community through its philanthropic efforts. The MCWC supports Snohomish County Domestic Violence Services, Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center, Mill Creek Food Bank, YWCA Pathways for Women, and YWCA Working Wardrobe.

Our first “in person” program for the upcoming 2021-2022 season will feature none other than “Seattle's Art Maven” Marcie Sillman

Marcie just retired from a 35-year career as an award-winning journalist with NPR station KUOW, the Puget Sound region’s #1 radio station for nonprofit independent news, award-winning stories, podcasts, and events.

Marcie was a program host, news director, and senior arts and culture reporter, covering hundreds of stories for both local and national audiences.

In 2019 Marcie’s body of work was honored by the City of Seattle and awarded the Mayor’s Art Award. She’s also a rower, knitter, baker, and author of "Out There: Jonathan Porretta's Life in Dance."

Our September 15, 2021, program entitled “The Arts ~ Post Pandemic” is a uniquely centered and influential take on today's quest for cultural survival.

Marcie told “Seattle Now” that starting up live performance is complicated and initially limited.

Seattle Opera and Pacific Ballet will be returning come September and November but will only be for subscribers.

McCaw Hall’s HVAC system has been professionally cleaned to hospital grade standards.

We hope that you will consider joining us for the 2021-2022 season.  The membership fee is $50 per year. We hope to meet you in person for lunches beginning in September 2021.

Reminder:  You must be fully vaccinated to attend any of the indoor luncheons and social gatherings. Seating reservations must be made by September 3rd for the Sepember 15th General Meeting, Luncheon & Program.
