YOU are invited! You need not be a member to attend the Mill Creek Women's Club annual auction to benefit the YWCA Pathways Children's Domestic Violence Program.
The Auction Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Mill Creek Country Club.
What a fabulous opportunity to lunch deliciously at the gorgeous Mill Creek Country Club. Perhaps bring a friend and support an extremely critical and worthwhile cause. What fun it is to bid, bid, bid! Even the delightful floral centerpieces will go home with the best bidder!
The YWCA Pathways Children’s Domestic Violence Program is the only one of its kind in Washington State. The success rate of breaking the cycle of violence is remarkable and the children become better able to cope with their individual circumstances.
Some of these children remain in their homes and some have left those homes with their mothers. This year’s Auction will raise money and add funding to enable counseling of kids in the office, or trained advocates may visit the home of the non-offending parent to counsel the family as a whole in dealing with the drama surrounding domestic violence.
One hundred percent of the money raised will contribute to this valuable program. We can help make a difference.

Anyone can donate to the Mill Creek Women’s Club Annual Auction themed “Thanks for Giving.” If you or your business have merchandise or a service you would like to donate for the Auction, what fantastic advertising! Members of the Women's Club love to shop and patronize supporters!

Many items already have been basketed, wrapped and bowed. Impressive items are being collected such as two quilts, a large wine rack stocked with wine, spa facials, personally escorted zoo passes, a Deluxe Nook, a catered dinner party with martinis, and a golf package, but we need MORE!
So think about that lovely piece of fine jewelry sitting in a box, the one you just don’t wear. Someone else would love to bid for it. Your own special talents are an inventive resource. If you have vacation property, someone wants a mini-stay! If you are a master gardener, someone’s yard is calling you! Do you have some sports or theater tickets to share? Imagine what YOU would like to have and then donate THAT! What a satisfying way for you to do your part to help women empower themselves and build stronger families.
Advance reservations with payment for the Wednesday, November 20 Auction Luncheon will be taken at both the September and October General Membership Meetings and Luncheons. Reservations must be paid for by check to MCWC and postdated November 1, 2013.
Cost is $25 for members and $28 for guests. Checks will not be cashed until one week prior to the event and are non-refundable after November 8.

Expectations are for many guests, so please reserve your seats early. Do not miss the Women's Club's most exciting affair of the year!
The Auction Committee is thrilled to announce that they are now able to accept credit cards. They will have the ability to do Quick-Pay by simply swiping cards at check-in to avoid long payment lines at the conclusion.
Of course cash, checks made out to YWCA, and credit cards are all welcome for both Auction items and “A Hand Up.” So, CHARGE AHEAD!
November 20 will be the big day! “Thanks for Giving,” our most important fundraiser of the year, will begin at the Mill Creek Country Club at 10:00 am. Please consider attending this extravaganza!
