Members of the public are invited to join the Mill Creek Women's Club on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Mill Creek Country Club, for a general membership meeting, luncheon and program with guest speaker, Daniel James Brown, author of the wildly popular best-seller, “The Boys in the Boat.”
There are a limited number of seats available and reservations will be taken on a first come, first served, basis.
“The Boys in the Boat” is the inspiring, true story of nine working class boys from the University of Washington and their epic quest for Gold in rowing at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
Brown will give a free book signing at the end of his presentation and staff from the University Book Store will be on hand with copies of “The Boys in the Boat” for purchase. They will also bring copies of Brown’s other books.
The cost for “The Boys in the Boat” is $31.73 for hardback and $18.63 for paperback, including tax.
The cost to attend the luncheon is $30 for non-members and $28 for members. You do not have to be a member or a guest of a member to attend this event.

The doors of the Cedar Room at the Mill Creek Country Club will open at 10:30 am for socializing, and the meeting will begin at 11:00 am.
The Mill Creek Women's Club is a social and philanthropic organization made up of women from the greater Mill Creek, Washington area.
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, September through May at the Mill Creek Country Club at 10:30 am.
