Close to 60 members of the Mill Creek Women’s Club enjoyed their first social event of the year in Mill Creek on Wednesday evening, January 6, 2016.

Mill Creek Town Center University Book Store's incredibly knowledgeable staff members, Christin Rude and Deb Hanes, began the evening by recommending and reviewing ten fiction and ten non-fiction books for cozy winter fireside reading.

Following the presentation women’s club members had time to peruse and purchase the recommended titles at a 20% discount.

The book store also offers a 20% discount to their book club members. Get more information on their book clubs here.

After stocking up on some fireside reads and working up an appetite it was time to head over to the Rusty Pelican Café.

Restaurant owner, Marilyn Limberopoulos, generously hosted women’s club members at her delightful Mill Creek restaurant with a delicious selection of appetizers, wine, and, to-die-for homemade desserts of coconut cake and pistachio cake.

The Rusty Pelican Café can be booked for evening events. There is no charge for the use of the restaurant for parties of 35 or more. For more information click here.

It was the perfect way to spend time socializing with friends on a chilly winter’s evening in Mill Creek.
