From City of Mill Creek and Snohomish County Public Works news releases.

The week of February 13, 2017, Puget Sound Energy crews will be digging through Mill Creek Boulevard’s road surface to inspect the natural gas main and to locate underground utilities at five places between 164th Street SE and Bothell-Everett Highway (SR 527).

Although this initial inspection work is part of Puget Sound Energy’s long-term natural gas maintenance work, it may be related to their ongoing work on eastbound 164th Street SE between 2nd Drive SE and 3rd Avenue SE. Here they are tying into a gas main and repairing a gas leak.

The work on Mill Creek Boulevard should not impact natural gas service in the area, however there will be noise and there may be traffic impacts during the working hours.

The work is expected to start Monday, February 13th, and last a total of four days.

Typical work hours are 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and there likely will be noise from trucks and heavy machinery.

Signs and traffic control flaggers will guide vehicles through the work zone.

This work should not impact electric service in the area.
