From a City of Mill Creek News Release.

The City of Mill Creek now offers a block party trailer stocked with supplies to help residents host neighborhood gatherings and foster community spirit. The trailer is meant to help increase civil engagement and recreational opportunities throughout the City.

The new block party trailer is available to be used free of charge by Mill Creek residents. The trailer is equipped with everything needed to throw a block party, including: Giant Jenga and other great games, tables and chairs, coolers and a bubble machine, among other items.

This is a community-building tool we are happy to bring to Mill Creek,” said Joni Kirk, director of Communication and Marketing. “This trailer supports our goal to help neighbors come together and connect with one another, which ultimately results in a safer community.”

To reserve the block party trailer, residents must apply online at www.cityofmillcreek.com/trailer. Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. A $150 refundable deposit and a copy of Home Owners Insurance or HOA Insurance are required upon approval of applications. Contact Gordon Brink at gordonb@cityofmillcreek.com or 425-921-5737 with questions about how to apply.

The block party trailer made its debut run at the first of three Mill Creek Party in the Park events that began in July. Those in attendance saw firsthand what the trailer was stocked with and the kind of block party that ensued.

The next and last Party in the Park event of the season will take place September 18, 2018, at Cougar Park. These Party in the Park events are a great way for people to see the trailer, ask questions and get ideas for hosting their own block party.
