Children are invited to boost their reading skills and confidence by reading stories out loud to trained therapy dogs at 11:30 am on Sunday morning, March 4th, at the University Book Store in Mill Creek.
Sometimes there's no better listener than man's best friend—especially when children are learning how to read. Join us on Sunday morning as we partner with the Reading with Rover literacy program to give kids a chance to boost their reading skills and confidence by reading stories out loud to trained therapy dogs!
No need to pre-register. Just bring your kids and let them pick which furry friend they want to read to.
For more details about how reading to dogs can help children increase their comfort with reading out loud, advance to higher reading levels, and even improve their confidence, enhance their social skills, and decrease shyness, visit readingwithrover.org.
