From a Rotary Club of Mill Creek press release.

The March 2021 Students of the Month were selected with the theme of Leadership.

The Rotary Club of Mill Creek Student of the Month from Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy High School is Keyshon Rife.

Keyshon’s leadership style has grown in his roles as an ASB and Student Council Leader, Student Ambassador, volunteer at the Special Olympics, a leader of three peaceful Black Lives Matter protests, and a leader for the school’s Leaders of Change club.

His impact as a leader can be seen through the way he is self-driven to "step up and get things done," organizing events and people, being always willing to speak up for those in need, and mediating various altercations between classmates and friends.

There is a clear lasting mark Keyshon is leaving on our campus and everyone who has interacted with him.

For all of these reasons and many more, Keyshon is the AMHS Student of the Month recognized for leadership.

The Rotary Club of Mill Creek honors Students of the Month from Henry M. Jackson High School, Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy High School, and Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center at the second weekly meeting of each month during the school year.

After being chosen by the principal and staff of their school based on the month's theme, the students and their families are invited to the meeting where each student speaks about their accomplishments and receives a Rotary Club of Mill Creek Student of the Month Certificate.

Rotary Club members can also ask questions of each student about their interests, goals and future plans.

Although the meetings are held via ZOOM during COVID, hopefully the students will soon be able to return to live meetings.
