Seattle man shot and killed in residence northeast of Silver Lake

A 21 year-old Seattle man was shot and killed at a residence northwest of Silver Lake on Monday night, February 25, 2019. Detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff's office Major Crime Unit are investigating the incident.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed the examination and confirmed the identification of the 21-year old male who was involved in a shooting incident at the 10600 block of 32nd Drive SE in Everett, WA on February 25, 2019.

The decedent is Dustyn J. Hunt-Bagby of Seattle, WA. The cause of death is gunshot wound of the chest. The manner of death is classified as Homicide.

On Monday night, February 25, 2019, at approximately 10:45 pm, Snohomish County Sheriff's deputies responded to a shooting in the 10600 block of 32nd Drive SE northeast of Silver Lake in Everett.

The victim, a 21 year-old Seattle man, suffered a gunshot wound to his chest and died at the scene.

During the investigation, detectives learned the victim was visiting the residence and engaged in a physical altercation with the homeowner, a 47 year-old Everett man, before the shooting occurred.

Three additional adults were inside the residence at the time of the shooting. All four adults remained on scene and were cooperative.

At this time, no arrests have been made, but detectives with the Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate the incident.

Identification of the deceased, as well as cause and manner will come from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
