Serious motorcycle accident closes eastbound lanes of 132nd Street SE north of Mill Creek

A serious motorcycle accident on 132nd Street SE north of Mill Creek closed all eastbound lanes and one west bound lane on Friday afternoon, August 9, 2019. Drivers are asked to avoid the area for the afternoon/evening commute.

A 50 year-old Snohomish man was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle on Friday afternoon, August 9, 2019.  

The incident was reported around 1:30 pm, with 911 callers reporting that there had been a collision at the 5100 block of 132nd Street SE north of Mill Creek.

According to witnesses, the motorcyclist was attempting to cross the westbound lanes to turn left into the eastbound lanes when he was struck by a passenger vehicle.

The driver of the passenger vehicle, who is uninjured, stayed on-scene and is cooperating with Collisions Investigation Unit detectives. 

All eastbound lanes of 132nd St SE were closed for the investigation and traffic was diverted to Seattle Hill Road.

One westbound lane was also closed and drivers were asked to avoid the area for the afternoon/evening commute.

132nd Street SE was reopened at about 5:00 pm on Friday afternoon.
