Sheriff's detectives investigate Snohomish shooting

A 27 year-old Monroe man was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the arm after being shot at the Pilchuck Trailhead parking lot on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. The shooter fled the scene and Snohomish County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating.

At approximately 8:30 pm on Wednesday evening, December 18, 2019, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting in the 5800 block of South Machias Road at the Pilchuck Trailhead parking lot.

A 27 year-old Monroe man was transported by aid to Providence Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his arm.

During the investigation, deputies learned the victim and the suspect communicated via Snapchat to coordinate a drug deal.

The 27 year-old victim was sitting inside his vehicle in the trailhead parking lot when he was shot through the driver side window. The suspect then fled the scene.

Two shotgun shell casings were recovered in the parking lot. This is an active investigation.
