Established in 1967, SCVSAR is an all-volunteer organization that delivers emergency response to those in need across the county’s urban and wilderness areas. Over 300 volunteers representing a diverse range of ages, backgrounds and skill sets are available 24/7 to come to the aid of anyone lost or injured in Snohomish County, as well as support the Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement in evidence searches. Each year, SCVSAR volunteers log over 9,000 hours of service in responding to more than 120 missions.
