When you're looking for a job, preparation is key. Sno-Isle Libraries offers many tools for job-seekers, including resume and cover letter help, databases for researching employers, study resources for passing job certification tests, online classes for brushing up on skills, and more.
The Mill Creek Library is offering a free workshop designed to teach job seekers how to use these tools.
“Tools for the Competitive Job-Seeker” is a two-hour hands-on workshop that will help anyone looking for a job be more prepared. Librarian Jennifer Keirans will teach the workshop.
"We have so many powerful resources that job seekers can use to help find the perfect job - or to avoid applying for the wrong job," said Keirans. "And a lot of people just don't know about them. We'd love for more people to make use of these tools."
The mission of Sno-Isle Libraries is to be a community doorway to reading, resources, and lifelong learning. Workforce readiness is one of Sno-Isle's most important strategic goals.
Those who wish to participate should have basic computer skills and a Sno-Isle Libraries card.
