Worker's Compensation Rates and Claims Workshop

Owners of new or well-established businesses often Don’t Know What They Don’t Know about how just one worker injury can affect bottom line profits, how to control worker’s comp premiums, or how to get up to $10,000 reimbursed for light-duty wages through L&I’s Stay at Work and Preferred Worker programs.

The Department of Labor and Industries is sponsoring an Introduction to Rates and Claims workshop from 9:00 am to noon, on Thursday, February 20th, in the Mill Creek City Hall North, second floor, 15720 Main Street.

Small businesses are particularly vulnerable. When a worker suffers a work-related injury or illness their claim may cause an increase in company and employee rates.

If you have one or more employees or are just getting ready to hire, it’s important to know about proven claim-management strategies that may help maintain overall bottom-line profits and keep more money in employee pockets.

Workshop speakers include representatives from L&I’s Risk Management, Stay at Work (WSAW), Early Return To Work (ERTW), and Preferred Worker programs.

Register on-line at www.lni.wa.gov/workshops under ‘Rates and Claims.’
