Mill Creek Little League Softball All Stars eliminated from Western Regional Championship Tournament

The Mill Creek Little League Softball All Star team lost their first game of post season play in San Bernardino, California, on Wednesday evening, July 28th.

Unfortunately, the loss occurred in the single-elimination quarterfinal round of the Western Regional Championship Tournament.

In 1891 Springfield College PE instructor, James Naismith, invented men’s peach-basketball. Within a few months Senda Berenson brought the game to Smith College, but since women were not suited for men’s style of ball, Berenson modified Naismith’s rules. Berenson believed her gentile basketball codes supported women to be players and ladies too.
