Mill Creek Arena Sports begins “rolling opening”

Mill Creek’s new 98,000-square-foot Arena Sports indoor sports complex began their “rolling opening” on Saturday, October 21st, with an open house and Lil’ Kickers soccer classes.

Their Family Entertainment Center is scheduled to open in late November.

Everett Memorial Stadium baseball field to get all-season artificial turf

The Snohomish County Council, the Everett School District, and the Everett Acquasox are funding improvements to the Everett Memorial Stadium baseball field.

Replacing the natural grass with artificial turf and improving the field’s drainage system allows many more games to be played.

My friend Joey Collins and I competed at the ITU Multisport World Championships Festival in Penticton, British Columbia in August.

The 10-day event with an every-other-day racing schedule featured six multisport disciplines, including the Duathlon.

A Mill Creek Sports Park project to improve field safety, to reduce lighting and maintenance costs, and to allow disabled people field access is at risk because the Washington State Legislature hasn't yet passed the 2017-2018 Capital Budget.

By shutting out Montana on Monday, July 24th, the Mill Creek Little League 12U Softball All Stars are heading into the Western Regional Quarterfinals as the number one seed in the San Bernardino championship tournament.

The Mill Creek Little League Softball 12U Softball All Stars beat Hawaii 11 to 3 in their first Western Regional Championship game on Saturday, July 22nd.

Their next game is against Montana on Monday, July 24th, at 7:30 pm.

The Mill Creek Little League 12s Softball All-Star team earned a trip to the Western Regional Tournament by winning the Washington State Championship earlier this month. Their first game is against Hawaii on Saturday, July 22nd.

Mill Creek’s new Arena Sports indoor sports complex cleared another hurdle when the Mill Creek Design Review Board approved the architects’ building elevations, landscape plans, and monument sign at their March 16th meeting.
