Officials commemorate East Gateway’s Vintage at Mill Creek affordable senior housing development groundbreaking

Officials from the City of Mill Creek, Vintage Housing, Northshore Senior Center, FPI Management, Inland Group, and other organizations gathered to commemorate the groundbreaking of Mill Creek’s latest housing project in East Gateway Urban Village on Wednesday, August 31st.

A number of Mill Creek city councilmembers expressed displeasure with the city’s current East Gateway Urban Village land use policies.

They were supposed to discuss East Gateway Urban Village land use and perhaps impose a development moratorium at their regular July 12th meeting. Instead they decided to postpone everything until their next meeting on July 26th.

Hearing Examiner Pro Tem Emily Terrell approved the Vintage of Mill Creek binding site plan on Wednesday, April 27th. This major milestone allows the developer to apply for site preparation permits and to submit plans to Mill Creek’s Design Review Board for final review.
