Everett High School students earn top awards in Spanish literary contest

Everett High School students Jocelyn Ramirez and Carlos Rodriguez earned top awards in the 20th annual ‘Yo escribo en Español’ literary contest.

The topic for 2018 was “celebrating the diversity and richness of our culture” and students from 110 schools in Washington State participated and submitted 520 essays.

Students from all three Everett School District comprehensive high schools competed in February at the 2017 DECA State Career Development Conference in Bellevue, Washington. In total, 27 students qualified for April’s International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California.

Superintendent's Scholar Award finalists for 2016 named

Since 1987, Everett Public Schools Foundation has presented the Superintendent's Scholar Awards in recognition of outstanding scholarship and inspirational teaching. Four graduating seniors from Everett Public Schools were named finalists at the 34th Annual Superintendent's Scholar Award function held May 25th at the Everett Golf and Country Club.
