Gary Meek appointed Snohomish County Fire District 7 Fire Chief

Gary Meek was appointed Fire District 7 Fire Chief at the February 28, 2013 Fire Board meeting. He has served as interim Fire Chief since 2011 when the previous chief retired.

Smoke alarms alert Mill Creek residents to apartment fire

Snohomish County Fire District 7 was dispatched to an apartment fire in the 1200 block of Mill Creek Boulevard just after 2 a.m. on February 28, 2013.

Snohomish County Fire District 7 was dispatched to an apartment fire in the 1200 block of Mill Creek Boulevard just after 2 a.m. on February 28, 2013. Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the three-story apartment building.

Residents in the first-floor apartment where the fire started were alerted to the fire by smoke alarms and evacuated the building. A neighbor quickly pulled the fire alarm alerting the rest of the building to the fire.

Attic fire contained with no injuries in Mays Pond

Snohomish County Fire District 7 responded to the 18400 block of 20th Drive SE in Mays Pond for a reported resident structural fire just after 3:00 AM on Saturday, January 12, 2013.

Firefighters arrived to a duplex residential structure with fire showing from the back of the residence extending to the attic. Crews confirmed all occupants had evacuated and began an offensive fire attack.
