Forest View Elementary School teacher Kaitlin Kalkwarf created a Donors Choose crowd sourcing project in February 2018 to solicit funds for Special Education classroom supplies.

Unlike GenEd classrooms each September, SpEd classes do not receive parent donations of supplies.

Local students collect supplies, send pictures and get to “see” who they have helped.

On the day before Thanksgiving, Forest View Elementary School students watched school supplies they collected and packed being loaded onto trucks – starting the first leg of a trip to students in Uganda.

The theme for the National PTA's 2013-14 Reflections Art Program was Believe, Dream, Inspire.

All students will be recognized at the Washington State PTA convention held in April at the Bellevue Hyatt. The four Outstanding Interpretation winners will move on to the national level of competition.
