Jackson High School Teacher Rose Smith receives Snohomish County Branch NAACP President’s Award

This year the Snohomish County Branch NAACP honored Rose Smith, a Henry M. Jackson High School teacher, with the President’s Award.

The Everett Public Schools board of directors also recognized her for the significant role she plays in the lives of students of color at their March 7, 2017, meeting.

Mill Creek native and Jackson High School graduate running for Washington State University Student Body President

Washington State University sophomore and Mill Creek native Zach Anders has entered the race for the Associated Students of Washington State University President.

Washington State University sophomore and Mill Creek native Zach Anders has entered the race for the Associated Students of Washington State University President.

The organization represents all 17,000 plus undergraduates at WSU Pullman, and is held as the highest office of student representation on campus.

Search for Hidden Figures grand prizewinner is Jackson High student Yuna Shin

Henry M. Jackson High School 11th-grader Yuna Shin is the high school grand prizewinner of the Search for Hidden Figures video contest. She created the  winning video and takes home $50,000.

Inspired by the movie "Hidden Figures," PepsiCo and 21st Century Fox partnered to find the next generation of women who will lead the way in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).

Superintendent's Scholar Award finalists for 2016 named

Since 1987, Everett Public Schools Foundation has presented the Superintendent's Scholar Awards in recognition of outstanding scholarship and inspirational teaching. Four graduating seniors from Everett Public Schools were named finalists at the 34th Annual Superintendent's Scholar Award function held May 25th at the Everett Golf and Country Club.
