Because of the communities' generosity and enthusiasm for helping each student begin school with the supplies needed to start on the first day, the Everett Public Schools Foundation Stuff the Bus third annual campaign has been an overwhelming success. In June, the district's 26 schools reported that an estimated 1,700 backpacks with supplies would be needed by students this fall.
Hundreds of donors and dozens of volunteers made it possible to gather items necessary to meet that record-breaking goal. Stuffed packs will be delivered to schools by more volunteers.
