FROST Doughnutsannounced that it is doubling its current space with a May 2014 move to a new location in Mill Creek Town Center and expanding its offerings into a dessert lounge, complete with cupcakes, soft serve frozen custard, full service coffee bar with custom FROST roast and more.

FROST has applied for a liquor license for their new location and hopes to offer wine-pairings for some of their new lines of dessert.

Our new location will be an upscale dessert lounge that is also whimsical and kid-friendly,” said Del Hernandez, managing partner/culinary director at FROST. “This move is the perfect time for FROST to unveil a whole new array of delicious desserts and treats, as well as seating for parties and celebrations.

Responding to popular demand, FROST’s spring launch in the new location will introduce cupcakes in 12 rotating flavors such as Cherry Limeade, Crème Brulee, Cherry Cordial and Lemon Meringue. Other planned flavors include Malted Milk Chocolate Banana, Kaffir Lime & Coconut and Maple Bacon & Bourbon. FROST is especially proud to present delicious gluten-free cupcake confections in German Chocolate and Red Velvet.

In addition to the new cupcakes, FROST will debut a soft serve frozen custard. Created in collaboration with Snoqualmie Ice Cream, FROST will customize this creamy and rich treat with its signature flavors. The launch flavors will include Mexican Vanilla and Gianduja, made with Callebaut Gianduja hazelnut chocolate, served with housemade toppings in cannoli cones crafted with FROST pastry chefs’ original recipe. Future planned flavors are Morello Cherry, Meyer Lemon Crème and Liliquoi (passionfruit) Crème.

The dessert lounge concept for the new FROST involves wine-pairings for some of our new lines of dessert like cupcakes and macarons, but also for our traditional doughnuts,” said Tarek Nasser, Sales & Marketing Manager for FROST. “As long as the liquor license goes through, FROST will be offering wine (of different varieties, including sparkling) by the glass, or as part of a prix-fixe menu where wine can be ordered along with the customers' choice of desserts. Wines will be made available by various local Washington State cellars, and their professional opinion will be used by FROST to pair each offering with a specific flavor and/or dessert.

A full coffee and espresso bar with barista service will feature coffees roasted exclusively for FROST by Victrola Coffee Roasters. FROST’s own blend of coffee beans, Lucylle, will also be for sale. Named for FROST co-founder Daniel Sterling’s mom, who can frequently be seen at FROST making cake pops, Lucylle is a rich French-style roast that is perfect for a morning cup or for pairing with FROST desserts.

FROST will launch several new doughnut flavors, including Froissants, FROST's unique take on the croissant-doughnut hybrid, as well as more extreme Evolved doughnuts.

The new whimsical interior will be highlighted by two cupcake chandeliers custom designed by FROST and made by local craftsmen. The chandeliers are designed to change "flavor" (color) with holidays and special events, such as blue and green on Seahawks Fridays. Other interior treatments to note include display cases custom made by Northwest Woodworks, Inc. of Woodinville.

FROST’s new 3200 square foot space seats 68 and is located at 15217 Main Street, Suite 106 in Mill Creek Town Center across from La Palmera restaurant and next to The Split End Salon. It is expected to open in early May 2014. The new location’s hours will also expand to 10 p.m. in the evenings.
