A 24-year-old Lynnwood man was placed in custody for assaulting three people with a sword at a residence in the 13700 block of Fender Drive on Wednesday evening, November 5, 2014.
Here is the timeline of events:
- At approximately 9:10 pm on Wednesday, November 5th, a call was made to 911 to report a bleeding man was in the street and yelling for help in the 13800 block of Fender Drive in Lynnwood. The 29-year-old man was transported to hospital a short time later for serious wounds to his neck and arm.
- At 9:15 pm, a woman called 911 to report that her grandson tried to cut her with a sword at a residence in the 13700 block of Fender Drive. The woman’s injuries were described as minor and did not require medical attention.
- At 9:30 PM, a third victim entered the Dollar Tree store, located at 13619 Mukilteo Speedway and asked for help for a large cut to his hand. The 40-year-old man described to deputies that he was at a nearby residence when a man cut him with a sword. The man is being treated at a local hospital for a hand injury.
A 24 year old Lynnwood man was placed in custody at a residence in the 13700 block of Fender Drive, where the three assaults are believed to have all occurred.
The relationship between the suspect and the two injured men has not yet been determined.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.
