A number of new businesses have opened or are soon to open in Mill Creek’s Gateway Shopping Center. Among them are Sola Salon Studios and Planet Fitness.

Sola Salons, a premier location for independent salon professionals, held their grand opening on Monday, August 6, 2018.

Sola provides a turnkey environment for experienced hairdressers, estheticians, nail technicians, massage therapists, and make-up artists.

“Salon professionals come to Sola because traditional salons aren’t meeting their needs. Sola supports their needs – and their dreams. These artists customize their studios, create their own schedules and prices, and take larger profit margins with retail product offerings,” said Matt Briger, co-founder of Sola Salon Studios.

He went on to say, “It’s exciting to watch their businesses flourish, and Mill Creek is a fantastic location to grow a business.”

Planet Fitness opened their “Judgement Free Zone” facility the week of June 17th.

The new Planet Fitness has 25,000 square feet of space and offers state of the art cardio machines and strength equipment, a 30-Minute Express Circuit, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, numerous flat screen televisions, HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, tanning, a Total Body Enhancement booth, and more.

Planet Fitness is open and staffed 24 hours, seven days a week.

A new organic food store, Sprouts Farmers Market, will open their first Washington state store the week of August 15th.

Sprouts Farmers Market will occupy about 55% of the Gateway Shopping Center space where Safeway once did business.

Kimco Realty Corporation owns the Gateway Shopping Center and has made major changes in updating the parking lot, facade, and interiors of the new businesses.
