Search is on for Lynwood assault suspect

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching the area east of Lynwood for an assault suspect driving a car he allegedly shot at after being asked to return it to the owner. The search began at about 11 am on Wednesday morning, November 20, 2013.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching the area east of Lynwood for an assault suspect driving a car he allegedly shot at after being asked to return it to the owner. The search began at about 11 am on Wednesday morning, November 20, 2013.

The vehicle is a light green 2001 Subaru Legacy with Washington license plate #468YJO with shotgun damage on the driver’s side door.  The suspect is a 6’4” male with short black hair, weighing approximately 240 lbs., last seen wearing a green Carhart hooded sweatshirt, dressed in camouflage pants, boots and baseball cap. 

The incident began at the 19400 block of 24th Ave W in Lynwood around 11 AM this morning when the woman, who had lent her vehicle to the suspect, asked the suspect to return her vehicle.  He refused, allegedly leveled a loaded shotgun in her direction, shot the car’s driver side door and drove off. 

Anyone who has information about the vehicle or suspect is asked to call 911 immediately.
