Community Transit Kicks Off Summer Events with Too Much Fun on Two Wheels

Pedal on over to Willis Tucker Park on Saturday, June 24, and join Community Transit for a day of fun, family-friendly bicycle activities at the 3rd annual Snohomish County Bike Bash.

WHAT:

  • Bike rodeo featuring bicycle safety & skills activities
  • $10 discounted bike helmets and fittings from Fire District 7
  • Community Transit Swift bus and onboard bike rack demo
  • Snohomish County Parks & Recreation information booth
  • Live music provided by BridgeCity Church
  • Bicycle Blender with healthy smoothie samples
  • Guided bike ride on the park perimeter
  • Laser Tag provided by Laser Tag Live
  • Local bike shops and community bicycle organizations
  • Food and drinks

WHEN:

  • Saturday, June 24, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

WHERE:

The event is free and open to individuals of all ages and bicycling skill levels. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bicycles and helmets. For more information about the event, visit www.communitytransit.org/BikeBash.

The 3rd Annual Snohomish County Bike Bash is a collaboration of Community Transit’s Curb the Congestion program, Snohomish County Parks and Recreation and BridgeCity Church, with help from other sponsors.

Community Transit is responsible for providing bus and paratransit service, vanpool and alternative commute options in Snohomish County.

The agency is building a network of Swift bus rapid transit lines with Swift Blue Line along Highway 99 and the Swift Green Line between Canyon Park/Bothell and Boeing/Paine Field coming in 2019.
