Snohomish County Sheriff’s detectives arrest murder suspect in Lynnwood

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for help in locating 23 year-old murder-suspect Encarnacion “EJ” Salas, who is believed to be just west of Mill Creek in the area of 164th Street SW and 35th Avenue W in Lynnwood

October 24th update – Suspected murderer in custody

Lieutenant Kathi Lang of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office reported, “Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies arrested suspect Encarnacion Salas today at about 2:15 PM.”

“Patrol Deputies received a tip that Encarnacion may be in an apartment in the 3300 block of 164 ST SW.  He was quickly located and arrested.”

“The investigation is continuing.”

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for help in locating 23 year-old murder-suspect Encarnacion “EJ” Salas, who is believed to be just west of Mill Creek in the area of 164th Street SW and 35th Avenue W in Lynnwood.

Salas is 5’11” tall, weighing 185 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.  He could have injuries to his face and legs and was last seen wearing green pants and a red bandana.

Anyone who has information about Salas’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.

Salas is being sought for the second degree murder of a 42 year-old male who was assaulted late Friday night, October 24, 2014, in the 3000 block of 164th Street SW.

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Director of Communications Shari Ireton said, “Investigators believe the victim had been fighting with another unidentified male, who injured the victim with what is believed to be a knife… No weapon has been recovered.  The two men were known to each other.”
