At around 10:30 pm on Monday, September 6th, Sheriff’s Office deputies and Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) detectives responded to a fatal collision involving three vehicles at the intersection of 25th Avenue W and 164th Street SW.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found the victim, a 34-year-old woman, deceased at the scene.
A second vehicle involved in the collision was occupied by an 18-year-old female driver and a 17-year-old female passenger. Both females were transported to Providence Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
A third vehicle involved in the collision was driven by an 18-year-old male and he remained at the scene.
During the investigation, CIU detectives learned the two 18-year-old drivers were traveling westbound on 164th Street SW when one of the vehicles t-boned the victim’s vehicle at the intersection of 25th Avenue W.
CIU detectives are still working to determine the cause of the crash, but believe speed was a contributing factor.
The road was closed for several hours while detectives continued their investigation.

Positive identification of the decedent, as well as cause and manner of death, will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
