The Archbishop Murphy girls basketball team defeated Coupeville High School 61-27 in a 3A Cascade Conference game at Coupeville High School on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.

"Beth Carlson had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds for Arcbhishop Murphy in a Cascade Conference win," reports the Everett Herald. "Madison Pollock led the Wildcats in scoring with 15 and Monti Cooper had 10 along with five steals. Breanna Messner paced Coupeville with 8."

High school boys basketball – Jackson 64, Wenatchee 51

“The Jackson boys basketball team rode Dan Kingma in the first two quarters, got a lift from Brian Zehr after halftime and received the usual, high-level play throughout from Jason Todd in a 64-51 win over Wenatchee at the Crush in the Slush tournament on Saturday,” reports the Everett Herald.

“Sierra Anderson scored a game-high 23 points but Skyview outscored the Timberwolves 16-9 in the fourth quarter to beat Jackson in the Snohomish Christmas Invitational game,” reports the Everett Herald.

“Beth Carlson scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds, but the hosts could not recover from a three-point first quarter in a loss to Post Falls in the championship game at the Archbishop Murphy Holiday Tournament,” reports the Everett Herald.

“Jason Todd scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help Jackson to a win at the Crush in the Slush Tournament,” reports the Everett Herald. “Dan Kingma added 20 points and eight rebounds.”

“Archbishop Murphy started slowly, missing its first six shots from the field and spotting the Patriots to an early 6-0 lead. But the Wildcats finally got untracked and pushed out to a 27-17 lead early in the second quarter,” reports Rich Myhre of the Everett Herald.
